Board of Education

Dave Derynoski has served on the Board of Education since 1991 and as chairman for 8 years.

Born and raised in Southington, a graduate of Southington High School and the University of Hartford. He is employed as the Sales and Marketing Manager with Reno Machine Co.

He has been an advocate for student achievement and has maintained a strong stance in supporting optimum class sizes in the primary grades, school and student safety, promoting technology and advocating team building within all educational areas and local government boards. He is a strong believer that having a great community starts with having a great educational system.

Dave has served as a member of the Derynoski Elementary School and the Southington High School VO-AG, Plantsville School and South End School building committees, and is currently a member of theTechnology Advisory Board at Southington High School that is promoting educational interaction with local businesses.

He is the recipient of the 2009 Southington Chamber of Commerce Public Service Award.
