Planning & Zoning Commission

My name is Nathan Wright, and I am running as a Democrat for the Southington Planning and Zoning Commission.  I am a career educator and lifelong learner, and currently serve as the Director of Institutional Research and Strategic Initiatives at Cheshire Academy.  I was born and raised in Connecticut, and after many years out of state, returned with my wife, Rachel in 2011.  Together with our three small children, we’ve lived in Plantsville for seven years, and love our town, our schools, our parks, and Lake Compounce.

I believe government should be visionary, and should create that vision in conjunction in a manner that hears all voices and concerns.  I believe that our constituents are all community members in town, and not just of our voters.  I believe that data driven solutions, guided by a shared vision can transform Southington into a thriving 21st century community.  Finally, I believe that politicians have an obligation to be honest, transparent, and open with all constituents – especially during transformative times such as these.
