The Southington Democratic Town Committee stands in support of the peaceful protests that are taking place in Connecticut and around the country against police brutality.

We recognize that systemic racism and inequality exist in our community and are committed to speaking out and standing up for all Southington residents. We are grateful to the ongoing work of the members of the Town Policy Diversity Committee and the Southington Public Schools’ Coalition for Social Justice and will continue to push for accountability from all of those sworn to protect our rights as residents.

To the Black members of our community: we believe that your lives matter. We see you, we hear you, and we are prepared to act.
