Here’s a behind-the-scenes peak: every quarter, all Town Committees are required to submit reports to the State Elections Enforcement Commission with fundraising totals (hence why you have to fill out those forms!).  When those reports come out on October 10th, our opponents are able to see how much we’ve raised in the last three months – let’s show them we’re a force to be reckoned with! Give generously by September 30th.

Step Two: Phone Bank with us

Elections are won through direct voter engagement. While our candidates are out knocking on doors, we need all DTC members and Southington Democrats to stretch their fingers and start dialing.

Virtual phone banks will be held every night from 6-8:30pm. Training will be offered at the beginning of each session for new phone bankers – no prior experience necessary.  Join us for the entire time or however much time you have available. Phone banks will be coordinated using Zoom, but phone bankers are welcome to get together if they feel comfortable doing so.

Step Three: Remember that Absentee Ballots are available!

Thanks to the Democrats in the CT General Assembly, COVID is still a valid excuse for requesting an absentee ballot. Absentee ballot applications are available at the Town Clerk’s office or can be downloaded here. Absentee ballot applications can be mailed in or hand delivered to the Town Clerk’s office.

Every Row A voter who returns an absentee ballot is a vote we don’t need to chase down on November 2nd. Be sure to let your parents, college-age children, friends, cousins, neighbors, and colleagues know that there’s a SAFE and CONVENIENT way to vote to invest in our future.
