Occupation: Owner, Priority Graphics, LLC
Dave Zoni is a lifelong resident of Southington, and a local businessman. He previously served two terms on the Town Council from 2005 to 2009. Dave was elected as Southington’s State Representative from the 81st District in the Connecticut General Assembly and served two terms from 2012 to 2016. During his legislative tenure, Dave served as Vice-Chairman of the Insurance and Real Estate Committee, as well as a member of the Public Health Committee, Finance Revenue and Bonding Committee, and the Aging Committee.
Dave has a proven record of dedication to public service and commitment to improving the quality of life for the citizens of Southington. During his previous terms on Town Council Dave spearheaded the effort to formalize Southington’s Fiscal Policy. This initiative led to an improved bond rating for the Town and allowed for more cost-efficient capital improvements, resulting in savings for Southington taxpayers. He was also the driving force behind the Rescue-a-Buck program, enabling residents to submit cost saving ideas directly to the Town government.
Dave believes infrastructure should be a priority for our Town, with an emphasis on energy efficiency, cost savings, and environmental responsibility. He introduced and advocated for the Main Street corridor study to address traffic congestion on Main and North Main Streets. He aims to make significant improvements to both the condition and accessibility of our roads.
As a small business owner Dave understands the service improvements necessary to create a business friendly environment conducive to economic development.
Dave is married to Susan Uznanski Zoni, a former public school teacher. The couple have two sons, David and Steven, and four grandchildren.
